Miso soup with carrots & potatoes

Ingredients
Ginger
Sesame oil

Onion
Carrots
Potatoes
Powdered dashi
Miso

Cut a piece of ginger and onion into small pieces
Heat some sesame oil in a pot (use high heat)
Add the ginger and fry a bit
Add chopped onions and fry until they soften
Add water
Add chopped carrots and potatoes
Add powdered dashi
Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat
After around 15 min or so, the carrots and potatoes should be soft
Add the miso and stir it around
Eat! you can add shichimi togarashi
